After a span of two years working with the Mental Portrait Proofs series (see below), all I could think of was “You can dress her up, but you can’t take her out”.  So, the Party Girl series is a response to that.  I took three of the lithographic proofs from the editions and pasted them onto a larger piece of paper, added body and headgear.  How often do we feel out of place, an imposter, even if appropriately dressed for the occasion?
